After the Malaysian Grand Prix, Felipe Massa was criticized for his reckless driving but he silenced his critics by winning the Bahrain Grand prix. With the kind of talent he possesses, there is no doubt that he can take over the place of Michel Schumacher in the Ferrari. Let’s hope, this race marked the beginning of Massa as a good F1 driver.

Coming to the race, Massa was seriously challenged by the rookie British driver Lewis Hamilton who once again finished in the podium. This brilliant performance means that Hamilton has now become the most successful driver in the F1 history to record three podium finishes in the first year of the career. It was an all round performance by the Ferrari team as Kimi Raikkonen also finished in the third position. On the other hand, Fernando Alonso performed disappointingly finishing fifth. Renault as usual struggled without Alonso driving the car, whereas Hondo too struggling in the early part of the season.
